Any of us can acquire the HIV/AIDS Virus. The biggest myth surrounding HIV is that it only affects people who participate in high risk behavior. While it's true that those of us who participate in high risk behaviors are at a much greater risk, HIV/AIDS can affect our unborn children and partners who do not participate in high-risk behavior. AIDS has affected thousands of men, women and children.

Fortunately, the HIV virus is a condition people live with. With proper medical treatment there is no reason not to live a normal and productive life. AIDS is also a treatable condition. There are thousands of people leading normal lives with AIDS. However, there are also those who required a high level of care.
